Danach zum See.

______________

The weather is grey, the sun shines through small gaps and brings a little good mood. So let’s get out to Stendenitz. In the middle between forest, swamps and the Zermützelsee lies the small town. A forest museum, a very colourful forest tavern and a camping site. All closed, memo for the spring. Around it a forest experience path. Beavers have left their traces and are not afraid of giant trees. Everywhere winterly silence.

So off to Neuruppin, a little through woods and fields to the most Prussian of all Prussian cities. First of all we have a nice coffee and homemade cake in Sven Stirnemanns Teefachgeschäft. Then to the lake. In the background the outside of the thermal bath is steaming and Parzival looks a bit discontentedly at the lake. Sculptures by Matthias Zágon Hohl-Stein can be found all over the town, including in front of the Resort Mark Brandenburg. “The traveller of the Mark must be equipped with a finer sense of nature and landscape”. How true Mr. Fontane.

It’s always nice to take a walk through the city.
