Die Plattenburg ist die älteste erhaltene Wasserburg Norddeutschlands und noch sehr gut erhalten. Inmitten von Wald, Fischteichen und Feldern, liegt sie sehr idyllisch. Sie war Sommersitz der Bischöfe von Havelberg und beherbergt heute Gäste im Hotel, ein Trauzimmer, Kapelle und Gastronomie.
Plattenburg Castle is the oldest preserved moated castle in northern Germany and is still in very good condition. Surrounded by woods, fish ponds and fields, it is idyllically situated. It was the summer residence of the bishops of Havelberg and now accommodates guests in its hotel, wedding room, chapel and restaurant.
