Einmal quer durch die Prignitz von Putlitz über Meyenburg bis Freyenstein. Viel Mittelalter, viel Geschichte des 30jährigen Krieges und unbekanntes aus der Gegenwart. In Meyenburg wird nicht nur eines der wichtigsten Kulturgüter Mitteleuropas hergestellt (das IKEA Billyregal) hier ist auch das Modemuseum im Schloß. Es ist eine der umfangreichsten europäischen Sammlungen von Kleidermode (1900 bis 1970), die von der Ost-Berliner Sammlerin Josefine Edle von Kreml zusammengetragen hat. Auch steht im Bahnhof ein Teil des Orientexpress.
Once across the Prignitz from Putlitz via Meyenburg to Freyenstein. Lots of medieval history, lots of history from the Thirty Years‘ War and unknown facts from the present day. Meyenburg is not only home to one of Central Europe’s most important cultural assets (the IKEA Billy bookcase), but also to the Fashion Museum in the castle. It houses one of Europe’s most extensive collections of clothing fashion (1900 to 1970), compiled by East Berlin collector Josefine Edle von Kreml. Part of the Orient Express is also on display at the railway station.
