Rühstädt in der Prignitz ist das storchenreichste Dorf Deutschlands und mit über 40 nistenden Storchenpaaren trägt es den Titel „Europäisches Storchendorf „. Überall im Dorf sind Horste auf Dächern und Ständern eingerichtet. Von einem Aussichtspunkt können 15 Paare beim Brüten und Aufzucht beobachtet werden.
Rühstädt in Prignitz is the village with the highest number of storks in Germany and, with over 40 nesting pairs, it bears the title of ‘European Stork Village’. Nests have been set up on roofs and stands throughout the village. From a vantage point, 15 pairs can be observed breeding and raising their young.
