In der mittelalterlichen Burg Lenzen betreibt der BUND ein Informationszentrum zum „Biosphärenreservat Elbauen“ und ein Bio Hotel. Beides ist sehen- bzw. bewohnenswert. Das Burghotel ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt um das Umland und die erbauen zu erkunden. Leider ist Lenzen weit am Rand Brandenburgs und damit wohl auch touristisch für viele nicht so interessant. Die schöne Fachwerkstadt verfällt immer mehr. Das ist nicht nur schade, es ist traurig, da so ein vollständiges Ensemble selten zu sehen ist.
In the medieval castle of Lenzen, the BUND (Friends of the Earth Germany) runs an information centre on the Elbe River Valley Biosphere Reserve and an organic hotel. Both are worth seeing and staying at. The castle hotel is an ideal starting point for exploring the surrounding area and the buildings. Unfortunately, Lenzen is located on the outskirts of Brandenburg and is therefore not very interesting for many tourists. The beautiful half-timbered town is falling into disrepair. This is not only a shame, it is sad, as such a complete ensemble is rarely seen.
