Oben liegt die Burg Eisenhardt, unten die historische Altstadt und nebenan die Stein Therme. Drumherum Großtrappen, die Belziger Landschaftswiesen, das Baruther Urstromtal und mitten drin war der geographische Mittelpunkt der DDR. Eigentlich könnte viel los sein in Bad Belzig. Is aber nicht ganz so, wie es sein könnte. Die Burg ist sicher der touristische Mittelpunkt, der Weg in die Stadt sehr schön und kurz. Außerdem gibt es noch den Kunstwanderweg mit reichlich Objekten am Wegesrand, den sehr schön gemachten Naturerlebnispfad rund um die Burg. Wer richtig leckeren Kuchen und Brötchen essen möchte geht zu Christian Gerickes Bäckerei in die Bahnhofstr. 3. Also nix wie hin.
Above lies Eisenhardt Castle, below the historic old town and next door the Stein Therme spa. Surrounding it are great bustards, the Belzig landscape meadows, the Baruth glacial valley and, right in the middle, the geographical centre of the GDR. There could actually be a lot going on in Bad Belzig. But it’s not quite as it could be. The castle is certainly the tourist centre, and the route into town is very beautiful and short. There is also the art trail with plenty of objects along the way, and the beautifully designed nature trail around the castle. If you want to eat really delicious cakes and rolls, go to Christian Gericke’s bakery at Bahnhofstr. 3. So let’s go!
